Author Guidelines

Article Type
J-Move Journal exclusively accepts manuscripts in the form of Original Research Articles. Submissions must be the result of empirical research that is original and has not been previously published, either in part or in full, in any other journal or publication outlet. Articles should present a clear research methodology, systematic data analysis, and a tangible contribution to the advancement of knowledge and technology in the field of mechanical engineering.

Research and Publication Ethics
Authors submitting to J-Move are required to adhere to standard scientific publication ethics, including honesty, originality, and academic responsibility in all stages of research and writing. For studies involving human subjects, animals, or personal data, authors must include evidence of ethical approval from a relevant institutional ethics committee, and this should be clearly stated in the manuscript. Plagiarism, data manipulation or fabrication, and duplicate submission are strictly prohibited. To uphold publication integrity, J-Move uses plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin during the initial screening process.

General Submission Requirements
Before submitting to J-Move, authors must ensure that the manuscript has not been published or is under consideration elsewhere. Submission is only allowed when all listed authors have approved the content and authorship order. If including data, figures, tables, or any materials owned by third parties, authors must obtain written permission from the copyright holder. Adherence to these requirements is essential to maintain academic and ethical integrity.

Revisions and Resubmission
If revisions are requested by reviewers or editors, authors are given a maximum of 14 days to resubmit the revised manuscript. A response letter must be included, explaining the revisions made and addressing each reviewer’s comment. Revised manuscripts will be re-evaluated by the editorial team and/or reviewers before a final decision is made. This process ensures the scientific quality and accuracy of the published article.

Peer Review Process
All eligible manuscripts undergo a single-blind peer review process, in which reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities, but authors do not know the reviewers’ identities. At least two expert reviewers are assigned to assess the scientific quality, originality, methodology, and relevance of the manuscript. The average review time is 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the paper and the responsiveness of reviewers. After the review, the final decision is made by the editor and may result in one of the following outcomes: acceptance without revision, acceptance with minor/major revision, or rejection. Authors will receive detailed reviewer feedback for improvement.

Article Processing Charge (APC)
J-Move applies a processing fee of IDR 100,000 (only payable after the manuscript is accepted for publication).
There is no charge for the initial submission. The fee covers system maintenance, editorial management, and online publication.
