About the Journal
J-Move (Journal of Mechanical Engineering) is a scientific journal published by the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI). This journal serves as a platform for publishing research findings, scientific reviews, and the latest innovations in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
The journal is Open Access, meaning that all content is freely available and accessible to readers at no cost and without requiring registration.
Open Access Policy
J-Move adopts a full open access policy with an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 100,000 IDR. All published articles are freely available online, allowing wide access to information and promoting knowledge dissemination. Authors retain the copyright of their work and allow the distribution of articles under a Creative Commons license (such as CC-BY, in accordance with the journal's policy).
Focus and Scope
J-Move focuses on the advancement of science and technology in Mechanical Engineering, particularly within the following three core areas:
- Energy Conversion
Covers studies on thermal engines, renewable energy, heat transfer, energy systems, energy efficiency, and heating/cooling technologies. - Mechanical Design and Construction
Includes machine and mechanical structure design, dynamics and control of mechanical systems, vibration engineering, and mechanical transmission systems. - Materials and Manufacturing
Covers material characterization, conventional and non-conventional manufacturing techniques, industrial automation, fabrication, CNC, and additive manufacturing.
The journal only accepts manuscripts in the form of original research articles that present empirical findings based on experimental, theoretical, computational, or simulation-based studies. Other types of submissions, such as literature reviews, case studies, or purely conceptual works, are not accepted.
